Shama mourning when Sai Baba took Mahasamadhi

In 1918, on Dusherra day, Baba left his mortal body. Shama mourned by throwing his head to the ground. He said, "Oh Sai, I didn't recognize You. I have disregarded You many times. I have treated You as a common man and played tricks with You, shared my happy moments with You, teased You and displeased You in petty things".

"O Baba, I said You many bad words, showed my wisdom to a God like You and tried to teach You wisdom!!!!!! Who can be so full and stupid like me? O my Deva! No one can be a sinner like me in this world.

I took fake promises from You and gave You fake promises. I accused You of being a liar, thief, beggar, shameless, mad fakir. Baba forgive me..........please forgive me. In this way Shama repented when Baba took Mahasamadhi. Shama could not bear His separation.
Shama spent day in repenting and mourning, when he went to meet Kaka Saheb to Bombay.

Shama had collected a pot full of Udi touched by Baba. At the time when he was in Bombay, women in his house at Shirdi took all the utensils along with that pot full of Udi outside for cleaning. At that time Shama was sleeping. Baba came in his dream and said, "Sham get up. The pot of Udi kept in your house is being taken away for cleaning".

Shama woke up suddenly, he left all the work in Bombay and ran to Shirdi. He was satisfied that Baba has only left His mortal body, but He is still taking smallest care of His Bhaktas.
Shama left the world on Vikram Sanvat 1996 Chaitra Sud 4, Thursday April 25, 1940 at the age of 80.

Vikram Savant 1996 Charitra Sud 4, refers to Hindu calender, while Thursday April 25, 1940 refers to the Christian calendar, which we normally use.
