An invaluable Gift of Sai Baba
Sai SatCharitra when it was first given me to read, I had not gone into it deeply. Matter of fact is that I did not read more than two chapters at that time. It pains me even as I write this. During those times I was much into philosophy, and wanted clear explanations, to the mind, or rather looking for what appealed to the mind. After reading a couple of chapters, the intellectual mind did not find it appealing, thought to be mere stories with hyped up miracles.
Most of the intellectual minded people might find it same today. But the book has much more than mere intellect, which can be found in millions of books in libraries and even in the weekly magazines and daily newspapers. Sai Satcharitra is a wealth given by Shirdi Sai Baba, blessed by Baba. It has the most amazing thing that only few like Sai Baba can give. It has the grace, which is beyond any level of intelligence. The grace that can clean and purify our minds, the grace that attracts us to the highest.
Every time I read it, it gives different meaning. Each chapter read different times brings about the calmness, with the meaning relevant for that time. Though the book is most of the time pointing to the timelessness, it seems to guide me, with utmost love, care that only rare book can render. In emotionally and mental disturbance of a greater intensities, even hugging to the book have helped a lot. Only hugging the book as in those intense moments one does not even feels like reading, the grace from the book gives solace and soothing effects on heart and head.
At the time of reading though it has been read again and again, there is a sense of newness every time. One does not feel anything repetitive. And it always gives a feeling of togetherness, with Sai Baba. The sacred book is not read with the aim to learn something, but only for the feeling of grace and love felt through it, yet it never ceases to give appropriate directions. And one feels it is all with Sai Baba’s direction and grace one is drawn to write this. One feels it is Sai Baba’s work and Baba will guide whoever needs to read it. Even the word I seem to be heavy so the word one is used, because the I is not there. Only the grace is there. If I is there would be much thinking over what is written, what will the readers say, what will the intellectual people say. I is always surrounded with fears, and ifs. Even while reading the great blessed book Sai SatCharitra, it is better that the I is absent. The I with the wants, the I looking for directions, the I looking for the learning.
It’s best when the I is absent and only the grace of Sai Baba is felt, the grace is allowed to work on mind rather than mind working to find the meanings. The mind or I can never fathom the grace, the grace has to be allowed to work on mind. As Sai Baba has indicated it require a calm mind to grasp the grace. And only the grace can calm the mind. When the mind or I is trying to get calm it can never be. We have to leave it to the grace of Sai Baba and allow the grace to work. It is very difficult for the mind or I to leave everything to Sai Baba. It might say so, and immediately after saying it starts all it’s effort for securing its identity, gathered from society.

alpeshbhai try and come to nairobi at sai dham mandir we were recently given darshan by baba when we were singing bhajans and he blessed us with hi foot prints on the window which states he was amoung us.

I have done many mistakes and hurted many people in my life. i want to change everything about me now. My husband doesnt believe me any more and maybe doenst love me too. I have thought i would start reading this book and maybe i could try to get back the trust he has in me. Can anyone tell me that i can get back the trust by Sai's grace?

Thank you all for your posts on this wonderful website. Here is my first experience with Sai...
I prayed to baba to give me his darshan. I live in the U.S. and because I am a student rarely do I get time to visit a Sai temple. However, I always pray to god and visit the temple near my house. I was a little disappointed when I did not get darshan by Sai after repeated prayers - not in my dream or while praying at the temple. Instead, Baba came all the way from India. One of my Uncle whom I have not met for a long time happened to be in town. I had no idea but somehow it happened that we met. When I went to see him and we were exchanging contact infos before saying good-bye he opened his wallet and there I saw Sai Baba's original picture. My heart is very happy. Thank you Sai for your blessings. Always keep Shradha and Saburi and he shall answer our prayers for he lives within us.

I had requested Sai Sansthan for Shri Sai Satcharita and had sent a check of 70/- for the book and two photographs of our Sai Babaji. Now how can i know if it has reached there or not and then in how many days i will be able to get the delivery?

I am not aware of Sai Baba Sainasthan's way of sending the book and photos. Many times Sansthan does not stock of Sai Satcharitra of some languages. That might delay the sending of the book.
Best would be to send an email to Sai Baba Sansthan from their website and they should respond your question. Sai Baba Sansthan responds to email queries pretty fast. This has been my personal experience.

I started believing Saibaba when i was young and at every walk of my life. But since couple of months nothing is going in my way. I am in US lost my job , so send my family back home. Already it is 2 months since i lost job and eagerly waiting for a job. I dont know what sin i have done with Saibaba, if anything of that sort has been done by me ..Baba Please forgive me if any Sin i have done knowingly or unknowingly and be with me and my family always and show me a way to servive from this critical situation.

Hi,
There has been some incidents in my life that drove me closer to beliving in baba and I would like to share one with all of you devotees.
I live in the U.S. and am a student. The temple I usually go to near my school is beautiful and has idols of most of the gods but does not have baba's idol. I wanted to go for baba's darshan so I searched for the nearest temple for baba. Miraculously, there is a shirdi temple here in Chicago. I was very happy to find this and went for baba's darshan - the temple is beautiful and reminded me of shirdi from the description satcharitra. I have never been to Shirdi myself so, this is the closest feeling I can relate to and I am very positive that the real Shirdi temple should be no different - as I could feel baba's presence here. After having baba's darshan and prashad, I took off but while driving back home I started thinking that I would love to come here often but it is so far - 1.5 hr drive is something I cannot afford being in medical school. During my thought process I told baba that may be I should talk to the temple authorities near my house and see if they can bring in baba's idol. If they don't, I told myself I should offer them to bring one in for devotees. And, then again I started thinking, how will I afford it when I myself live on loans. Again, I thought to myself I shall atleast bring in baba's picture - that shouldn't be hard. I made up my mind that everyone should have an opportunity to get baba's darshan. This way I reached home. Couple weeks later, I had completely forgotten about my thought process that day and I visited the temple near my house. We were on the other end of the temple doing Shivji's aarti as my view of the front of the temple was blocked by other devotees. In midst of performing the aarti I happened to glance at the front of the temple not paying much attention to that end but something caught my attention. Then again, I looked closer, this time with all my attention - there was a baba's huge picture sent in by some devotee for darshan. My happiness new no bounds - I took baba's darshan, performed aarti and left happily. However, after that day I've never seen the picture at the temple again. The day I saw it I spoke with the pujariji and he said a devotee brought it in long time back then it was sent to some other temple and now we have it back. The story didn't make sense but I nodded and left. Perhaps they took the picture back - I honestly, don't know what happened but in my mind, as if, baba came to fulfill my wish once, gave me his darshan, blessed me and went onto his journey to bless his other devotees. Keep your faith in baba. Many bad things have happened in my life but baba keeps me going. The positive energy he imparts us is incredible. He keeps telling me that it is important to be a good human being above all - keep shradha & Saburi!
Lets pray for everyone to sai baba. May his blessings show us the right path always...

i want to tell my real time experience which i faced in my life, intially, i didnt belived in the lord sai baba,then after sme days i unexpectedly believed in the saibaba and visited with my wife to shiridi, and from that day evrything is in smoothflow. so every one saly atleast once for day "SRI SACHIDANANDA SATGURU SAINATH MAHARAJ KI JAI"

I am vadhana here we got new job offer because of shri sai baba in seven days i finished sai sath charithiram. but on 9th day we got job offer. we cant believe this. Its a miracle we got job in our favourite place , good salary like that... i cant forget that incident

I guess you must be knowing about this book , by reading which one's wishes will be fulfilled. I have this in HINDI language, but i want it in ENGLISH. If anybody knows and have a link in ENGLISH please let me know.

Om Sai Ram to all the devotees of Sai. Feels good to see response from all around the world. This dear devotee of Sai is called Deepika. My whole Family is devotee of Sai. My father is a pilgrim and goes to Shidi from Pune with the palkhi...
I would like to share one experience with u all. Every year we have padukas of Sai at our place for a day... We call as many devotees as we can on that day and perform Aartis and Bhajans. We offer naivaidya to Sai and then distribute among the poor people. On the day when we were suppose to get those padukas from a temple my father called rickshaw to travel from the temple to our house. As they reached our place, by the time my father could remove money from the pocket the rickshaw had disappered. It was Sai who had delivered His own padukas....one more incident happened on the same day. After the Aarti was over, it had to be given to all. Some people were standing and elder ladies who could not stand for long sat.A person took the plate with burning camphor to individual person giving them the aarti. Suddenly the plate with burning camphor fell on a elderly lady's saree... Everyone were scared. However it is rightly said you need not worry if Sai is with you. To our surprise neither she was hurt nor a single burn on her SAREE!!!!..
