Was in the local temple. The temple with a tomb of a Sufi saint and beautiful Sai Baba’s idol. A multiplex has come up since few years near the temple and it gets crowded on Thursdays. The visit of writer was on Wednesday and not many people were there. It always feels better to meet
Sai Baba (in the form of Idol) in the temple when crowd is not much. It gives a different kind of sukun of being with
Sai Baba at leisure of mind and heart. The leisure is not there, when it is crowded. The devotees standing in queue to bow down to
Sai Baba, to love
Sai Baba, to pray to
Sai Baba cannot be ignored and one has to move away fast from the idol. So many lives
Sai Baba of
Shirdi has touched through his love and grace that almost all his temples are overcrowded especially on Thursdays.
Talking about taking the
darshan or being with
Sai Baba (in form of idol) with leisure of heart and mind, I remember watching videos of
Sai Baba aartis performed in Shirdi . While watching it the mind body and heart is filled with the vibrations or subtle energy or presence felt in
Shirdi . One can actually feel one is in
Shirdi while watching the videos. And since
Sai Baba form in idol and
Sai Baba's Samadhi is shown too often or say 90% of the time, it makes the watching and feeling even more ecstatic. As
Shirdi is now crowded with devottees almost all year round, the lesuire of Watching
Sai Baba and being close to the grace showering Samadhi (Tomb) for longer time is not possible most of the times. So while watching the aartis one also gets the joy of watching
Sai Baba, his grace bestowing Samadhi without, the being feeling that others are kept waiting.
Since the local temple was not crowded and the huge and beautiful white
Sai Baba idol can be touched by the devotees. I always hold the legs with both the hands while bowing down. While doing it the legs and the idol of
Sai Baba always feels so lively. Livelier than the people we meet. This brought about a thought in the mind, though
Sai Baba has left the body of flesh and blood long time back, still his presence is felt in his pictures, idols, temples and the sacred book
Shri Sai SatCharitra. The presence felt is more than the humans we meet and are called alive, by general terms of our language. Certainly the tombs of Saints and the picture of
Sai Baba, his idols, the sacred book
Shri Sai SatCharitra and the sacred land of
Shirdi, where his mortal body was buried, is far more alive.
As this thought crossed the mind and I opened the
Shri Sai SatCharitra to continue reading from where I had left a day before the chapter of
Sai Baba passing away turned up. And reading the title I was surprised and all the stories connected with
Sai Baba’s leaving the physical body rushed through the mind and felt like writing all the stories on the blog with the tag
Sai Baba’spassing away from physical body. So this stories will continue for the upcoming posts, on this
Sai blessed blog.
Om Sai Ram.
Sai Baba "Have faith in Me. Even though I give up this body, My bones in My Samadhi will give you hope and confidence. Not only I but My Samadhi would be speaking, moving and communicating with those who surrender to Me whole heartedly. Do not feel disappointed that I would be away from you. You will hear my bones speaking and discussing your welfare. If you remember Me constantly and have faith in Me, heart and soul, you shall be greatly benefited."
"Keeping your mind steady continue to do your duty fearlessly and have faith in My words. If My 'Leela's' [deeds] are written, 'avidya' [nascence/ ignorance] will vanish and if these are attentively and devotedly listened to, the consciousness of the worldly existence will abate, and strong waves of devotion will arise. If one dives deep into My 'Leela's', he shall obtain precious jewels of knowledge."
" He who loves me most, always experiences my presence. The whole world is desolate to him without Me."
"If you spread your palms with devotion before Me, I shall immediately be with you at any time of the day and night. Though I am here physically yet I know all that happens beyond the seven seas. Seated in your heart, I am in fact your Inner Self. Always worship Him alone who is seated in your heart as well as in the hearts of all beings. Blessed and fortunate indeed is he, who is aware of My omnipresent and omniscient form."
"My master told me to give bounteously to all that ask. People come to me asking for the petty things of life such as wealth, children, promotion and the like; but nobody comes to ask for the real treasures, I hold. My treasury is full; take away cartloads of it. Be the true sons of the Divine Mother and fully stock yourself. What is to become of us? This body will return to earth and the air we breathe will melt into air. This opportunity will not return."
"I am the attribute less 'Nirguna'. I have no name and no residence."
"I am not the body or the senses. I am the eternal ‘Sakshi’ [witness]."
"I require no doors to enter. I have no form nor do I have any limitations. I am always existent in all animate and inanimate objects. I am the wirepuller of all actions of the man who trusts me and merges in me and ultimately provides him Liberation."
